Mother of Pearl Poppy
Good Afternoon,
Well after a glorious weekend of weather the sky if back to looking a dull grey colour. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.
I am on a day off today, so spending it sitting at my craft desk. Todays make is a last minute addition to the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.
Supplies Used:
Penny Black - Poppy Poem
Pink Petticoat backing paper
ProMarkers
Frost White Shimmer paint to create the mother of pearl effect
Ribbon from my stash.
Here is the sketch that I followed; although my addition of the ribbon might not fit in with the sketch.

Sunshine!
Good Morning from sunny Aberdeenshire.
I hope you are all getting the good weather.
This week Chrissie & Mandi have set a real challenge for us over at Less Is More. This week we have to create a 'shaped card'. Eeeeek, way out of my comfort zone so I'm afraid to say I have taken the easy option. While out enjoying the sun yesterday I asked Jamie for help in what kind of shaped card to make. His suggestion was make a sun. So this is my take on the sun!
Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Sincere Salutations
Sizzix embosslits - Beautiful Wings
Frost white paint to create the mother of pearl look on the butterflies
Inkdusters and sponges to create the coloured band.
I am away to sit in the sunshine again before it leaves us.
Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Less Is More - Week 68
Good Morning,
Its time for another challenge over at Less Is More, this week Chrissie & Mandi have set a challenge to make a card for a baby or child. I instantly knew what stamp I was going to use for this one.
Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Roller stamp
Sentiment - See D's
All the paper was from my snippet drawer
The star, elephant and ducks are all paper pieced and the edging of the romper suits are coloured in using white gel pens.
I am also entering this card into the Snippet Playground over at Pixies Crafty Workshop. Its been a couple of weeks since I have joined in for looking forward to seeing what everybody else has been coming up with.
A fairly quiet weekend ahead for me, hope you all have a nice weekend planned.

Three Stamps
Good Morning,
First off let me thank everybody who visited my blog last week and left comments on my Candle card. I have never had as many page views or comments before I was truly touched. Who knew gluing a candle to a card could generate so much interest!
Secondly onto an apology for all my followers, I haven't had much chance to make many cards this week, but I promise I will be back into action soon!
Now onto the first of today's cards. It is for this weeks challenge over at Less Is More, its a one layer week and Chrissie & Mandi have challenged us to use 3 stamps, no more or no less. So here is my first attempt at it.
Supplies Used:
Ippity Stamps - Flowers & Friends (the 2 flower stamps were from this set)
Sentiment - From a stamp set that I can no longer remember the name of
Clear embossing powder
Wow purple embossing powder
Distress ink
Ink dusters
Now off to finish off my second card for this challenge.
Thanks for looking

Wedding Day Wishes
Good Afternoon,
Before I show my latest make I am going to blow my own trumpet for a second. This week I have been awarded a 'Perfect Princess' over at Freshly Made sketches for this card and I also made the top 4 at St Luke's Charity Cards Challenge for this card. Yippeee! it is such a good feeling when some of your fellow crafters appreciate one of your makes. Anyway trumpet blowing over and onto today's card.
A bit of a different make from me today. I have ended up making a wedding card but apart from my own wedding I don't have any other weddings coming up, so one more for the 'For Sale' box.
Supplies Used:
Image - Lawn Fawn 'Bake me a cake'
Sentiment - Wild Rose Studio 'Man in Kilt'
Pink Petticoat backing papers
Glossy Accents
Versamark
White embossing powder
Ribbon and sparkle from my stash
Challenges Entered:
Allsorts Challenge Blog - Black & White
Retro Sketches - #10

'And it was called Yellow'
Good Morning All,
This Saturday we don't have anything planned, so I foresee a day of crafting for me (shhh I haven't told Jamie this yet)
I woke up fairly early this morning so I disappeared into my craft room and started having a play about.
A fairly simple card from me this morning but I like the finished effect.
Not much supplies to list, I think its fairly obvious what I have used to create this card!
Challenges Entered
CAS-ual Fridays - Happy Birthday
Less Is More - Colour Challenge - Yellow (although I think my white candle detracts from my yellow ribbon too much)
Hope you all have a nice weekend, I am off now to finish making a handbag on the sewing machine.

Butterfly Silhouette
Good Morning
Sorry I haven't shared much with you this week, time has just gotten away with me and when I have tried to start a card I just haven't been able to find my mojo.
However I was determined to join in with the girls at Freshly Made Sketches this week, although for some reason I found the sketch incredibly difficult. I think I have about 4 rejected attempts sitting on my desk. Anyway here is my final card for this weeks challenge.
Now I don't know if this suits the kind of cards over at the challenge, but it was the best I could come up with this week. Here is the sketch that we were to follow
Supplies Used:
Sizzix beautiful wings embosslit
Glossy Accents
Stampin Up Pocket Silhouettes
Ribbon from my stash
Coloured panel created using my ink dusters.

Thanks A Bunch!
Good Evening,
Back to work properly tomorrow, took a long weekend from work to get my bridesmaids sorted out for dress fittings and hair trials. Hopefully I have three happy girls now.
I have been pondering over this months Get Funky challenge. I knew that I wanted to use my new Funky Hand cd's, but it was trying to decide what papers to use. I finally made a decision this evening and here is my card.
Supplies Used:
Funky Hand backing papers (from the Funky Daze cd)
Nestabilities
Pearls and cord from my stash
Momento ink in London Fog
Funstamps 'Thanks a Bunch' stamp
It looks such a nice evening out tonight, time to head away out for a wee walk.
