CASology Week 55 - CAMP

Good Afternoon,

This week's CASology Cue Card is 'Camp'.  Now the usual ideas of fires and tents popped into my head when I seen this Cue Card but I didn't have anything suitable.  But thankfully I remembered this cute Camper Van stamp that I have in my stash and I figured it is close enough to count for camping!

Less Is More Week 130

Good Afternoon,

I don't know where my time is escaping to right now, but my crafting time seems to be suffering the most.  However I have no plans for today, so I can get on with making a couple of cards and catching up on what is happening in blog land.

My card today is for this week's Less Is More challenge, but before I share my card, I would like to thank Chrissie and Jen for choosing me as the June Winner.  What a lovely surprise it was and thank to you everybody that left me such fab comments on my win too.

Another gorgeous sunny day today, but unfortnatly I think it is coming to an end.  Once it cooled down a bit I disappeared into my craft room to make a commission. I was asked to make an engagement card but not too lovey dovey so I went with kraft as I think it stops any card from being too cutesy!

Less Is More Week 129

Good Morning,

It's been a while since I have managed to join in with Less Is More on a Saturday morning, but this is the first weekend I have had in a while all to myself, so making the most of the crafting time!

The challenge this week is to feature hand made flowers.  It took a bit of pondering before I remebered a tutorial I found on Pinterest for twine tutorials.  You can see it here, it is by a very talented lady called Michelle of Lady of Leisure Ink.

Tender Shoots Card Challenge

Good Evening,

I'm back with another card tonight and you will be glad to hear that there isn't a polka dot in sight!

Tonight's card is for a challenge hosted by the wonderful Jackie Rockwell, she has challenged herself to use all of the Spring 2013 Pantone colours and has asked us to join in.  And as a bonus she is giving away a prize of a Custom Blog Header design.  The first challenge is to use the colours tender shoots, grey and white.

More Polka Dots

Good Afternoon,

Today's card is very similar to yesterdays card (you can see it here), but I never really noticed till I was half way through making it for this weeks One Layer Wednesday Challenge.  Heather Telford is hosting OLW this week and has challenged us to create a card using a piece of clothing for inspiration.  Nothing in my own wardrobe was getting the creative juices going to it was time to head to Pinterest.

Here is the photo that I found that inspired my card, and I have now fallen in love with this outfit so will probably spend my evening trying to find the jumper and scarf!

You will never guess how long it took me to make a card that I was happy with for a couple of challenges.  Well if you look at the title of this post you will!  It's seems that if I take a short break from crafting it takes me ages to find my mojo again. I think sometimes it is best if you go back to basics till you find your feet again and that is what I did with this card.

Good Afternoon,

What a great day yesterday, the sun was shining and more importantly Andy Murray won Wimbledon! I don't think I have ever been so nervous during a sporting event!  So due to such a great day I never made it to my crafting desk , but today there was no keeping me away.

My share for today is for Fusion Card Challenge, I haven't been able to join in for a while but this challenge is a month long so plenty time to join in.

Happy Birthday Dad

Good Afternoon,

Before I start my post for today I would like to wish my Dad a wonderful birthday!  We heading round there tonight with a chinese takeaway for a little celebration.

Also I would like to apologise for my absence lately, last week we were decorating the house and this past week we headed off for a short break to celebrate our first anniversary! Can't believe that has been one year already.

Anyway I am home now and trying to catch up on blogland and my card I have made this morning is for Less Is More and this week's challenge is 'Shades of Grey'

CASology 51 - Fireworks

It's my first week joining in with the Design Team at CASology and this week's Cue Word is 'Fireworks'

Being in the UK, it is a bit early in the year for Fireworks for us, however I figured that fireworks are used for a celebration so that is the route I took.  I kept it as simple as possible and used a glitter embossing to do all the talking!  Since we are only 2 days away from the 4th July Celebrations I expect to see lots of cards with this theme, however I am looking forward to seeing what other ideas you all come up with.
