Good Evening,

So glad it is Friday, it's been a busy week.  I am spending a couple of hours crafting this evening before I sit down and relax.  The first card I have made is for the monthly challenge over at Uniko Studio.  This month we have been asked to use Washi tape, which is perfect for me, as since I learned how to make my own washi tape I have fallen in love with it.

Snowmen

Good Evening,

Well it was another gorgeous sunny day today, so didn't reach my craft desk until this evening when the sun disappeared.  I ended up making a Christmas card for this week's Merry Monday, where the theme was snowmen, even though the weather was about as far away from Christmas as possible.

Less Is More - Week 138 - Felt or Fabric

Good Afternoon,

We seem to be having a bit of an Indian summer here in the north east of Scotland. Temperatures are supposed to be up to 21c, which would be a nice day in the middle of summer, never mind September. So hopefully it lasts for a few more days.

My in laws were visiting for the weekend so there was no crafting for me until lunchtime when they headed back home.  The first thing I wanted to make was my entry into this week's Less Is More challenge.  This week was have been asked to create a card using felt or fabric.

I actually ended up making two cards for this challenge, as just when I finished my first card a second idea popped into my head.  I will share my favourite one first.

Supplies Used:
MFT - Loopy Bloom
Unity Stamp Co - Music of my Heart
Felt from my sewing box
Clearly Besotted - Leafy Accents Die
Stampin Up - Teeny Tiny Sentiment
Clearly Besotted - Tag Along Die

For my other card I stamped on canvas for the the fabric part of the challenge and then water coloured it

Stampin Up - Canvas
Stampin Up - Simply Sketched
Watercolour Pen

Off now to make some more Christmas cards.

Feel Better Soon

Good Evening,

I had such a busy day at work today so to wind down I escaped into my craft room.  Unusually I ended making an inky scene, I don't think I have done one of those for ages. Must remember to dig out the ink dusters more often, it's easy to forget the great effects you can get from them.

Supplies Used:
Hero Arts - Butterflies
Inkadinkado - Ferns
Stampin Up - Pocket Silhouettes
Stampin Up - Express Yourself (Sentiments)

Challenges Entered:
Less Is More - Get Well Soon
Addicated to CAS - Get Well

Merry Monday # 75

Good Morning,

So far this year I have resisted making Christmas cards, it just felt too early.  Then when I eventually sat down to plan how many cards I have to make I had a bit of a panic.  I am very lucky that I am able to sell my cards in a local shop so not only do I have to make for friends and family I have to make stock for the shop.  So after my large wake up call I have finally made a start.  Thankfully there is quite a few Christmas challenges out there to provide some much needed inspiration and the one I used for my card today is Merry Monday over at Always Playing With Paper.  The challenge this week was to use Dark brown, red, vanilla and champagne or gold with some shimmer.  Hopefully I have ticked all the boxes with this card.

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Welcome Christmas
Ribbon and Sparkles from my stash
Computer generated sentiment
VersaMark
Wow Embossing Powder - Gold Sparkle

CASology Week 62 - Arrow

Good Afternoon,

This week's Cue Card at CASology is 'Arrow'.  For some reason I always struggle to use my arrow stamps, so instead of putting myself through the anguish of trying to get them to work I had a raid through my embellishment stash instead.  Luckily I have some of the super cute shaped paper clips from Stampin Up and one was an arrow, so I just had a to design a card round it!

Supplies Used:
MFT - Chocolate Sentiments
Stampin Up - Cute Clips
Stampin Up - Ribbon

Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.

Good Evening,

My second post of the day, I am back with my card for the latest challenge over at Clearly Besotted.  We have been asked to do our own background stamping.  After having a look through my stash of Clearly Besotted stamps I decided to use a set that I haven't shared that often on my blog.

My task for this evening is to have a clear up of my craft desk, I can't see the bottom of it anymore. So enough is enough.

Thinking Of You

Good Morning,

This week over at The Friday Mashup they are asking us to create 'Thinking of you' cards for National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.  As part of the mash up they are asking us to either donate our cards to a charity or send them to Heidi on the DT to send to her H.A.N.D.S.  Tragically a friend lost a grandchild to stillbirth this week, so my card will be going to her instead.

CASology Week 61 - Silhouette

Good Afternoon,

This week's Cue Card at CASology is 'Silhouette'.  I love the look of Silhouette stamps, they can create such a dramatic look to a CAS card.  I chopped and changed my mind over which stamp to use for this challenge, however in the end I used the adorable 'Twinkle Toes' set from clearly besotted cause it is just so darn cute!

Supplies Used:
Clearly Besotted - Twinkle Toes
Avery Elle - Party Animal

Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.

My Digital Studio

Good Morning,

Stampin Up have now released My Digital Studio in the UK and even better you get a 30 day free trial to see if you like it.  I downloaded it last night and had a bit of a play so thought I would share with you my first project.  It is a mixed media project as I wanted to tailor it to suit the new challenge over at Annabelle Stamps, but I will try just a digital project later.  If you would like to download the free trial I can suggest using Aileen Skene's page (Stamp Up Your Craft), she is a Stampin Up demostrator and super helpful.  This link will take you to her online store.

My opinion on MDS, I really liked it! It's really easy to use and having all the Stampin Up colours ready to use means I can match up elements of my projects with no problems.

Anyway here is my first card attempt.

Supplies Used:
My Digital Studio - Ink Splatter 2 & 6
Annabelle Stamps - Daisy Delight
Clearly Besotted - Twinkle Toes (Sentiment)

Less Is More - Week 136

Good Afternoon,

This week Chrissie and Jen at Less Is More have set us a colour challenge, using a striking photo inspiration.  The colours are dark green and rust.  Not colours I would normally use, but thought I would give it a go anyway.

Supplies Used:
Clearly Besotted - Tag Along - Stamps and Dies
Paper Smooches - Debonair
Twine and Ribbon from my stash

And here is the photo inspiration, isn't it stunning.

I am not sure if I am overly happy with this card, so might have another go at this challenge.

CASology Week 60 - Apple

Good Afternoon,

This week's Cue Card at CASology is 'Apple' which was a tricky one for me, couldn't find anything suitable in my stash.  Thankfully a drawl through my digi stamp folders came up with this sweet Pink Petticoat digi paper. Since it is quite a busy paper I tried to keep the rest of my card as CAS as I could.

Supplies Used:
Pink Petticoat DP - Autumn Blosson
Stampin Up - Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Nestabilities

Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.
