Good Morning,

I am up surprising early this morning and I have managed to make a card for this week's Less Is More challenge, which is 'Round and Round'.  I focused on stamped and die cut circles to represent this.

CASology Week 88 - Lucky

Good Afternoon,

Wow, we had so many wonderful 'blush' creations last week, trying to pick a winner was so so difficult. 

However it is a new week so we have a new 'Cue Card' to challenge you all and this week it's 'Lucky'.

I couldn't find anything in my stash that I thought represented 'lucky' until I was having a look through my digi stamps and found Stampin Up wedding words and I realised that the poem is what women follow to bring them luck in their future marriage.  So hopefully you all agree that counts for 'Lucky'.  My card today is also super CAS and could even be one layer is you so wished.  All I did was change the word 'blue' to blue to add a little bit more interest to the card.

CASology Week 87 - Blush

Good Afternoon,

I think we have stumped a few of you with our last couple of Cue Cards at CASology so hopefully this week will be a bit easier.  This week's word is 'Blush', I hope from the design team you can see the different directions you can go with this word.

For my first card I just went with a 'Blush' colour, which is really just pink!  To keep my card CAS and still have lots of white space I die cut a circle of some rather 'fussy' stamping and sponging and mounted that on my card base.

For my next card the phrase 'Blushing Bride' was my inspiration. This card could easily be a one layer card, however I printed my digi stamp onto card and mounted it onto the card base instead.  By doing this I have added a little bit more interest to the card without losing that all important white space.

Uniko Studio Challenge 8 - Hello Spring

Good Morning,

It's time for a new monthly challenge at Uniko Studio

We have a beautiful colour palette and the theme is 'Hello Spring'  Feel free to use some or all of the colours.

And here is my take on the challenge, the gradient of the colours on the chart was the starting point for my card.  It just screamed a grassy field with blue skies, so out came the sponge daubers and I got to work.

A new week and a new Cue Card at CASology and this week it's 'Roots'. I for one can't wait to see what direction it takes you.  I've has so many different ideas for 'Roots' (mainly plants, trees and flowers) but in the end I remembered the phrase 'putting down roots' for when people move somewhere new so I went with a New Home card.

In order to give participants more time to play along, we are extending the deadline for entries to Mondays 

at noon (Central Time). Due to this extension, we will be announcing our winners and honourable mentions 

on Tuesdays at 7:00 a.m. (Central Time), one hour before a new challenge begins. Challenges will begin at

the same time as usual, 8:00 a.m. (Central Time) on Tuesdays. I would bold the new times (Mondays at

noon Central Time...Tuesdays at 7:00 a.m. Central Time).

Uniko Studio Revisited Beautiful Blooms Blog Hop

I have some super exciting news for you.  Beverley the owner and designer at Uniko Studio has asked me to join her Design Team.  And of course I didn't even have to think about it, it was a huge massive YES! Watercolour Scene

Good Afternoon,

My poor mojo is so broken right now, coming up with ideas is not easy right now and no amount of beautiful and gorgeous stamps in front of me seems to help. However I have finally got a weekend with no plans so I am hoping that is I just relax and have a play about with all my lovely goodies that Mr Mojo will return.  Anyway I came up with a very simple card today for a new challenge blog, Virginia's View, you should all go and have a look if you haven't already.  The inspiration photo is gorgeous!

CASology Week 84 - Carnival

Good Afternoon,

It's that time of the week where we get a new Cue Card at CASology and this week's word is Carnival.  I must admit I really struggled to come up with an idea for Carnival. However my little trick when I am struggling is to type the word into Google and look at what images come up.  It's a great way to help my little brain come up with an idea.  For Carnival I did my Google search and the Carnival girls with their feather head dresses came up so I went with feathers! Do you see the link? No? oh well it works for me.
