Good Morning,
Another week of neglecting blogland. I swear once I am a married woman I will be back to keeping on top of my blog. I am actually missing making cards, but time is not allowing me to do that at the moment.
But since I have never missed a challenge at Less Is More since I started my blog, I am creating time to make a entry every week.
This weeks challenge is a one layer card and to use a flourish, unfortunately my card didn't come out quite as I had planned but I thought I would share it anyway and I will go back to the drawing board.
Supplies Used:
Mind Minds Eye - Lost & Found stamp
Versamark
Clear embossing powder
Distress Ink
Ink Dusters
I thought the stamp looked liked clouds, so I was aiming for a pretty cloudy sky, but its ended up looking like a stormy sky, no sure who you would give a card with a stormy sky too, probably somebody you didn't like!
Anyway away back to the drawing board
Thanks for visiting
x
Not at all. I think it is very pretty. Blue skies ahead!! Hugs mrs a.
ReplyDeleteI hope your hubby-to-be won't be too disappointed to read that it's your blog that you'll be on top of once you are married. (lol) At least he can't say you didnt give him fair warning that you are a stamp addict lol
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done...very summer blue sky and a clever use of a flourish. Great 'out of the box' thinking.
What wonderful dedication to our challenge Gillian... it's quite a record. Thank you so much, I know how busy you must be in the run up to your nuptials.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, even if not exactly as you envisioned!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Lovely card Gillian - I don't think your sky is not that stormy looking - you and I have seen worse I'm sure!
ReplyDeletevery nice card
ReplyDeleteLovely bit of inking for the sky, don't think it looks too stormy :)
ReplyDeleteThis does look like clouds Gillian I agree, I think it would make a fabulous backdrop for a branch or plant over stamped in black
ReplyDeleteHowever, its super as it is of course!
Thank you so much for not missing a challenge with us

Love all those blues Gillian and it may not be what you wanted but it's lovely none the less. Zx
ReplyDeleteI love this Gillian and I don't think it looks stormy - just beautifully arty! Those flourishes really do look like clouds. It would be great for a get well or sympathy card perhaps? I know just what you mean about missing making cards - I swear I get withdrawal symptoms when I haven't made a card for a while! Vicky x
ReplyDeletelovely card

I think it's lovely Gillian. You could send it to some one who needs a bit of encouragement and say something like dark skies are going to clear up.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Well I think it's a pretty card!
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian, great job on how you used the flourish. Of course I had to laugh at your comment about who you would give a card with a stormy sky to, hmm ... I'm thinking there may be a candidate or two around. Thanks for the chuckle!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love your intense shades of blue
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely Gillian, gorgeous blues and flourishes. xx
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was that you had created a sky with lots of clouds....so it MUST look like clouds! very nice!
ReplyDeleteLoving your resist card - I keep reading about these ink dusters so maybe I should add them to my wish list!

It`s lovely Gillian. I hope the skies are as blue as that next week while I`m on holiday.

Great idea using your flourish as a cloud and I think it looks like a bright sunny day not stormy! x
ReplyDeleteLove your elegantly 'cloudy' sky - what a neat idea! Also need to do more investigation on ink dusters.... I probably NEED them! lol!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian, I'd like to pass on the Liebster Award to you and if you accept the information is on my site.
ReplyDeleteWho could you give this card to? Anyone with taste! It's gorgeous. I don't think it's particularly stormy, but it is beautiful.
ReplyDeletecheers,
rachel
Very pretty card with the blues & flourishes that look like clouds :)
ReplyDeleteLooks FAB to me even if it has not ended up the way you intended.
ReplyDeleteLovely Card with the blue skies and flourish look like clouds:)
ReplyDeleteEven if it is not exactly what you wanted, I love your card. A nice blue gradient and it's true, your stamp looks like clouds.

I like your shading. These flourishes remind me of holidays in Poland, which will begin in two weeks. Regards
