Good Afternoon,
Apologises I had to take a little break from CASology last week, life was totally crazy and to top it off my laptop broke at the last minute. But I am back this week and I have a very tenuous link to the Cue Card!
The Cue word this week is Electric, now you may be thinking what on earth does that have to do with a cup tea but bare with me. Whenever there is a 'big' episode of a soap opera in this country the next day the papers always report how big a spike there was in electricity during the adverts with people making a cups of tea! See I told you it was tenuous, but hopefully it shows that you can interpret the Cue Card whatever way it suits you.
Supplies Used:
Clearly Besotted - Warm Wishes
So how does my card fit into the 'helpful hints' for a CAS card
Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what Clean and Simple ideas you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.
Thanks for visiting

So how does my card fit into the 'helpful hints' for a CAS card
- One main image - Only the tea cup and a sentiment
- Lots of open space (uncluttered) - The white space is more than two thirds of my card
- Limited layers & embellishments - Only one additional layer to the base card, in a contrasting colour to add additional interest.
- Quick & easy to recreate - Couldn't be simpler this week, just stamp and go!
Guest Designer - Harriett
And our wonderful sponsor - Stamps and Scrapbooks
Your connection was immediately obvious to me - water plus electricity equals either coffee/tea or ice. Love the clean layout and soothing colour combination!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one that has crazy weeks! Problem is, mine don't seem to be ending as of late! :O
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of your card, Gillian! The warm brown is so soothing! Love your explanation and I hope it helps others to see that the cue words are wide open for interpretation each week! :)
Gillian this is a totally clever and spot on take on the cue card. I really love how you thought outside the box on this one!
ReplyDeleteYes - coffee can certainly be electric!! Jolts us awake in the morning! great design on this!
ReplyDeleteNot tenuous what so ever! We have an electric tea kettle sitting on our counter right now! Hubby uses it often. Love the connection (sorry, no pun intended!, lol) Very sweet card. Bev
ReplyDeleteLOL! I think it's a brilliant take on the cue word, Gillian! I can just imagine everyone rushing to get their tea sorted before Corrie comes back on. :) Awesome!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha, love your thinking on this one!! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and peaceful card. and, I love that you have a story about how it related to the cue word. I was wondering about that.
ReplyDeleteGillian, I don't think this is tenuous at all...matter of fact, it made me think of my old electric percolator coffee pot! Sweet card, warm tones, lovely open space!
