What a week!

Good Evening all,

I hope you have all had a nice weekend.  What a busy week it has been. As I mentioned in a previous post me and Jamie booked our wedding last week & we have 5 months to get organised, so its been full steam ahead.  My only crafting this week has been making paper flowers. I am a complete wimp & terrified of bees and wasps and for the wedding I don't want to be carrying around a punch of flowers which are going to attract those pesky buzzy wasps, so paper flowers it is for me! I think I have finally decided on the Tim Holtz tattered floral die for making them, will come back and show you some of the practice flowers.

However tonight I thought I would share with you the card I made for the latest Less Is More challenge, this week Chrissie & Mandi gave us a sketch to follow.

The stamp was part of Papermania 'Persimmon Collection' by Tina Higgins.  The sentiment was a rub-on but not sure of the make.  I have mounted the white card on dark green cardstock but not sure how well that will show up in the photo.

I am hoping to get back into blog hopping properly soon, so I apologise for not having the time to visit you all, however as soon as I get on top of the wedding planning I will be back into full swing.

  1. The wedding planning must be very exciting Gillian... just enjoy it!

  2. Ooo congrats about the wedding - lookforward to seeing your flowers. Great card, love the stamp :)

  3. Brilliant card Gilly! Perfect for the LIM challenge!

I didn't know about your wedding - how exciting and such a super idea about the flowers. No running round shrieking and bashing wasps away with your bouquet :) Are you making the wedding stationery etc? Or is that just a really silly question?

Hope you still find time to use up your snippets :)

  4. This looks so elegant Gillian. Love the green background layer.

  5. Lovely card Gillian
Hope we get to see the flowers and bouquet, sounds FAB and so personal

  7. Ahhh fabulous! I had paper flowers for the table decorations - I used this youtube vid and then covered them in ultra fine iridescent glitter and they looked gorgeous. Very small tho! Can't wait to see your pics :) M x

  8. Hi Gillian - congrats, make sure you enjoy this time and try not to let it stress you. Love the idea of a 'paper bouquet' I too an terrified of wasps and bees and any other flying insect!
