Love & Sympathy

Good Morning,

Apologies for the lack of cards over the weekend, I had a trip down to Glasgow for the Hobbycrafts Craft Fayre.  Wow that place was busy, and my fellow crafters can be brutal.  It was worse than the January sales for all the pushing and shoving! However I was a very good girl and only spent my allocated budget for the day.

Anyway back onto my card for today,
Which is based on this sketch,
Hopefully my graduated colours comply with the sketch

Supplies Used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Ink Dusters
Stampin Up sentiment and image
Versamark
Wow embossing powder

Challenges Entered:
Less Is More
CAS-ual Fridays
Pixies Crafty Snippets Week 44

I think on hindsight, I would have used white embossing powder for the image and sentiment, but as they say 'you live and learn'.

No Peeking

Good Afternoon

It's Rudolph day over with Sarn over at Stamping for Pleasure and it gave me the kick up the bum to finish a card I had all the bits for but couldn't be bothered to glue together.  I know very very lazy.

Supplies Used:
Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Nestabilities
Background paper was from my stash

Since this card was made using up odds and sods I am also going to enter this card into the playground with Di's Snippet Challenge.

I am headed off to the Craft show is Glasgow on Saturday, can't wait to have a nose round all the stalls, not sure the bank balance will love it as much!

Squares

Good Morning,

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.  Yesterday I made my card for this weeks One Layer Wednesday challenge which is being hosted by Heather Telford this week.

The challenge this week is Squares, so I think I may have cheated a bit, as although I used square ink pads to create my background, due to the positioning of some of them, they have turned into rectangles, but there is still some squares in there I promise.

Supplised Used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Stampin Up - Sentiment
Versamark
Wow embossing powder

Simply Soft

Good Afternoon,

This weeks Dynamic Duos colours are Pool Party & Soft Suede, and after mucking up my first attempt at my card, I ended up with a completely different design with different stamps second time round.  But I am happier with my second card, so I am guess its lucky I smudged ink on the first.

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Simply Soft
Stampin Up - Sentiment

This card is going to be winging its way to my In Laws for their anniversary, so another card ticked off the To Do list.

Wings

Good Afternoon,

Apologies it has been a few days since I posted anything, one of those weeks when life gets in the way. Still busy today, so today's post is going to be a quickie.

Anyway, I have managed to find time today to make a card for this weeks Less Is More challenge, which is 'Wings'.  I really struggled to make an original card, today so I ended up CASEing a blinkie for the Penny Black design team.  You can see it here on Heather Telford's blog.  If time allows I might have a second attempt at this weeks challenge.

Supplies Used:
Sizzix Die & Stamp set for the flower and butterfly stamps
Unity Stamp Co for the music background
ProMarkers
Glossy Accents

Going to try and find time to take a trip round all the other entries, but apologises in advance if I don't make it.

Halloween Part 2

Good Afternoon,

This weeks One Layer Wednesday is hosted by Cheryl and she has chosen Halloween for a theme.  Eeeek I only have one Halloween stamp set and I already used it just the other day.  So I dug it out again and chose a different image for the focal point this time round.  I'm not sure who I am going to give my Halloween cards to, it is not really a big 'thing' here in Scotland, but I do love the stamps and cards that I see going around.

Supplies Used:
Unity Stamp Co - That's Creepy
Fiskars - Elegant Vines
Versamark
Wow embossing powder (for the pumpkin)
ProMarkers

I am looking forward to a nice relaxing evening tonight, all the housework is done, I don't have anything urgent on my to do list, so I plan to put my feet up and catch up with the telly.

Yet More Leaves

You can tell it is Autumn and getting close to Christmas as all my recent challenge entries have focussed on Christmas and Leaves. So I'm afraid today's card combines them both as the Cue Card this week at CASology is Leaf.

I have had both the green and silver leafs in the my stash now for quite a while and never got round to using them.  Since I posted a stamped leaf card the other day I wanted to create something different.  The ribbon and sparkles also came from my stash and the Sentiment is from a Waltzing Mouse set.

Must dash as going out to see the comedian Kevin Bridges tonight.

Trick or Treat

Good Morning,

Hope you have all had a good weekend and managed to make time for some crafting on World Card Making Day.  I did some crafting during the day and then settled down to watch Strictly Come Dancing in the evening. So glad it is back on.

Dynamic Duos launched their new challenge yesterday and the colours just said Halloween.

Supplies Used:
Fiskars - Elegant Vines
Unity Stamp Co - That's Creepy
Ribbon from my stash

I have got some friends coming round for lunch today, so better go get on with preparing some food.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend & thanks for visiting.

World Card Making Day

Well who knew? I certainly didn't, but since there is a whole day dedicated to making cards it would be rude not to!  So my first card of today is for this weeks Less Is More challenge.  This week is a colour challenge and Chrissie & Mandi have chosen Silver.  I have to admit that the colour challenges are probably the week I struggle with the most but here is what I ended up with.

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - French Foliage
Woodware stamps - Sentiment
Versamark
Silver embossing powder
Dimensional stickers

Silver is not the best to try and photograph so you will just need to take my word for it that it is silver and not grey!

Christmas Stamp Two Ways

Good Afternoon,

This weeks challenge at One Layer Wednesday is to use one stamp two ways.  I took a little while to decide on which stamp to use, but in the end I decided on the fab sledging stamp from Stampin Up.  I bought this stamp set a couple months ago but somehow never got round to using it.  So here are my two creations

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Welcome Christmas Stamp
Ink Dusters
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
I have also snuck in a couple of tiny sparkly stars into the sky.

Supplies Used:
Same Stampin Up Stamp
Martha Stewart Stamp Around the Page
Unity Stamp Company Sentiment
Again a couple of bits of sparkle (sorry just can't help myself)

Supplies Used:
Mel Jen Designs Digi Stamp
ProMarkers
Versamark
White embossing powder
Nestabilities
Dimension stickers

I am going out for lunch today as it's my friend Kath's birthday and we are heading to a lovely little town called Stonehaven.

Hope you all have a great day.

Get Socks

Good Morning,

Time for another Christmas card from me today. I had a quick count up of my Christmas cards last night and I am up to 15, not bad for the beginning of October.

Supplies Used:
Penny Black - Holiday Hugs
Stampendous - Get Socks
ProMarkers
Nestabilites
Glossy Accents

Challenges Entered:
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge - All wrapped up
Pixies Crafty Workshop Snippet Challenge

This card actually started off as a one layer card, however when I went to stamp my sentiment using my stampamajig, it turned out I didn't clean it too well and I left some ink from my last project on it.  You can still see it a little bit but I couldn't face colouring my image again.  So this is my rescued attempt and now snippet card.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Good Morning,

First day of October, I can't believe how quickly this year is flying past.  It's going to be December before we know it!

Today's card is for the Dynamic Duos Challenge

As you will see my second colour choice is 'Gold' hopefully this is allowed.

The Christmas Bauble image is from Waltzing Mouse and it is embossed with Wow Gold embossing powder.  I used my Stampin Up Stripe stamp for the bottom section of the card and a sizzix embossing folder for the top.  The red ribbon is from my stash.
