It is my wonderful friends birthday this weekend, so I thought I would show you the card I have made for her. Its the big 3-0 for her, so I wanted to make something special
I used my sizzix embossing folders for the background and laid that on shimmer white card. The sentiment in the middle is printed on the same shimmer card. I added a little bit of sparkle to the ribbon as you can't go wrong with it for a birthday card!
I have entered this card into both the Less is More Challenge and the Reasonable Ribbon Challenge.

Thank You Sew Much
When I first started going to sewing classes my Sister's Mother In Law, Fiona, kindly gave me her sewing machine to practice on. However this Christmas my wonderful fiancée has bought me a brand new shiny machine :) So as a thank you I have Fiona a homemade bag and card.
To make the card I found the perfect stamp over at Pink Petticoat, I have to say I love the designs at Pink Petticoat and if you have checked it out yet then you should!
I will show you the bag I have made her later in the week as I still have some finishing touches to add.
Once I had finished the card I realised the colours were perfect for the challenge over at Ribbon Girls, so I have added this as an entry.

I coloured in the little flowers and thread using my promarkers and attached a little bit of sparkle. To then sewed the image onto scraps of fabric I found in amongst my scrapbox. To finish off the card I simply sewed a border round the pink backing card and attached a shear ribbon to give it a bit of a 'grounding'.

A Bit of Bling
Good Afternoon,
A quick post from me today, I have come down with the dreaded winter cold! I have been surfing the internet in between sleeping and noticed the new Less is More Challenge had been set and this week is a bit of bling.
The card I have decided to enter had been made as part of my batch of xmas cards. However since I love sparkle I may find myself entering another card once I am feeling better.
Anyway here is today's card, hope you like it and fingers crossed I will be back during the week with something new to show you all.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge
Hi,
Its the the closing day for the Saturday Challenge over at Secret Crafter. This weeks challenge was a sketch layout.
It took me a while to decide what I was going to do with this layout, I thought about snowflakes, stockings and xmas presents, but nothing looked quite right.
I then found some wrapping paper with 'Let it Snow' on it, I liked the style of the sentiment so I used that as my basis and just added some coloured squares to compliment the paper. To finish off the card I stuck on some sparkles and the large snowflake.
There is already some amazing cards entered for the challenge but I will put it on anyway.

'Get Funky Challenge'
Good Evening,
Over at Get Funky they have set a double whammy of a challenge. This month they have asked us to create:
1, A Christmas project using "Traditional colours" meaning red, green, gold, silver etc not the lilacs or blues etc which are around at the moment
2, A non Christmas card or project using Christmas papers please.

1, A Christmas project using "Traditional colours" meaning red, green, gold, silver etc not the lilacs or blues etc which are around at the moment
2, A non Christmas card or project using Christmas papers please.
I used the papers from their 'All I Want From Christmas' digital downloads for both projects.
From this range I used Paper Number 5, as I loved the little bauble pattern, to create my Christmas card.
To create the background to the sentiment, I dry embossed it with my Sizzix dots folder and then used a clear embossing powder on the raised dots to make them more prominent. My sentiment was created using another Sizzix folder and again was clear embossed to give it a glossy finish.
For my non Christmas project I decided to made a gift bag, I used Paper Number 16 from the same range. Once I had created my paper gift bag, I punched holes in the top and threaded through some cord which my Mum had kindly given me(thanks mum).
Although my gift bag is quite small, it would be the perfect size for a bit of jewellery or some sweeties.
I quite enjoyed this challenge, I thought it would be impossible to create a non-christmas project using Christmas papers but Funky Hand have a really good mix of designs in their sets that they can be used for anything.
Can't wait to see what everybody else creates for this challenge.

Ribbon Girl Challenge
Hello everybody,
I have never entered the Ribbon Girl Challenge before, but when I seen the challenge for this week I decided to go for it.
I had this square of cardstock which came as a free gift for months and never got round to using it, but I loved the colour and simplicity of it. So when I seen the pink and white theme I decided to make use of it.
I thought the striped card was bold enough to be the main focus of the card and I just added a frame and some embellishments from my stash to jazz it up a bit.

Christmas Stockings
Good Morning,
Another card from me for the 'Silhouette' challenge over at Less is More
I used this image in a different way on another card and decided to try it out in black for a silhouette. I quite liked the image but decided to add the red bows for a little splash of colour.
The stocking image was made using my Silhouette/CraftRobo Machine and the sentiment was from some stamps that I found in my stash, but unfortunately I cannot remember the name of them.
