Good Evening,
Just a quick make from me today.
Since seeing Di & Jules (Always With A Heart) make cards for Rudolph Day and the snippet challenge I decided to try and do the same.
I had this image coloured since before Christmas but I never got round to making anything with it. The image is 'Christmas Door' and can be bought from Cuddly Buddly.
The gold snowflakes came free with a magazine, would love to know where to get them though as they are lovely. I sprayed the gold backing paper with Candy Red Glimmer Mist. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but the end result is very effective.
Can't quite believe I have made a Christmas card in January, but one down, about 50 more to go!

What a week!
Good Evening all,
I hope you have all had a nice weekend. What a busy week it has been. As I mentioned in a previous post me and Jamie booked our wedding last week & we have 5 months to get organised, so its been full steam ahead. My only crafting this week has been making paper flowers. I am a complete wimp & terrified of bees and wasps and for the wedding I don't want to be carrying around a punch of flowers which are going to attract those pesky buzzy wasps, so paper flowers it is for me! I think I have finally decided on the Tim Holtz tattered floral die for making them, will come back and show you some of the practice flowers.
However tonight I thought I would share with you the card I made for the latest Less Is More challenge, this week Chrissie & Mandi gave us a sketch to follow.
The stamp was part of Papermania 'Persimmon Collection' by Tina Higgins. The sentiment was a rub-on but not sure of the make. I have mounted the white card on dark green cardstock but not sure how well that will show up in the photo.
I am hoping to get back into blog hopping properly soon, so I apologise for not having the time to visit you all, however as soon as I get on top of the wedding planning I will be back into full swing.

Pixie's Crafty Snippets Challenge Nr 4
Good Evening All,
Can't believe its Sunday evening already, this weekend has just flown by.
Di over at Pixies Crafty Workshop has opened up the playground for this weeks snippet challenge. On Saturday I made my first ever easel card (you can see it here) and I had some snippets left over. They hadn't quite made their way into the snippet box so I decided to use them up out of the way.
The stamped image was a freebie I got with a magazine so I'm afraid I can't tell you the make.
Well that's my make for the day, I have got a number of cards and other bits and pieces to make for other people coming up so keep an eye out for them.
Away for a nose round the rest of the cards in the snippet challenge.

What happened to hedgie?
I did promise to show you something different from me today and minus the hedgehogs!
I had left over acetate from my clear stamp storage and fancied trying to use it in a card.
I used the challenges in both Less Is More and Cas-ual Friday as the starting point for my card.
Chrissie & Mandi over at Less is More have challenged us LIMettes to create a card featuring a hole or an aperture (hopefully filling the hole with acetate is within the rules!) and qver at CAS-ual Friday the only colours we are able to use are black and white.
The butterfly stamp on the card is from Hobbycraft and the border stamp is from Papermania.

More Hedgehogs
Good Morning,
I can't believe its almost a week since I posted something, I think I was having a bit of a crafters block because I just couldn't think of anything to make! Thankfully come Friday and Saturday most of my favourite challenges kick in and always provide me with some inspiration to make something new.
Supplies Used
Pink, Purple & White cardstock
Penny Black - A Great Suprise
Promarkers
My Minds Eye - Fine & Dandy True Blue 6x6 pad
Sentiments stamps - Both part of a free gift with a magazine.
Challenges Entered
Winter Wonderland Challenge - Easel Card
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Crafty Bargains
I have never attempted an easel card, but I am rather pleased with the result and really enjoyed making it. Don't be surprised if you see more of these from me.
For the Penny Black Saturday Challenge the theme was 'Crafty Bargains', in my card the bargain is from the My Minds Eye paper, I managed to buy this paper pad in the sales half price, very happy, there is some gorgeous papers in this pad and nice summery colours!
I will be back later with my card for the Less is More challenge and it will be something a different from me again (and no hedgehogs)
Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Birthday Snippets!
Another make from me today, two in one day! Honestly I am never normally this productive.
Di over at Pixies Crafty Workshop has started her week 3 of the snippet challenge so off I went on a trawl through the snippet bin.
My hedgie image (Penny Black 'Hobble & Cuddle') was already coloured in and the green paper is from Pink Petticoat. I can't recall where the pink spotty paper is from though. The only new bits to the cards are the flowers and the pearls.
I have also decided to enter this card into the Winter Wonderland Challenge, this weeks challenge is 'Birthday Wishes'.
Can't believe how quickly my weekend has gone, although I have been rather productive in the crafty department, same can't be said for the housework though!

Less Is More Challenge - Week 50
This week Mandi & Chrissie have set us the challenge of a one layer card and the theme is 'Birds'. I recently purchased the Papermania 'Birdsong' stamps, so I had a few stamps which I could use.
All the stamps on this card is from the same stamp set and I used my Colourbox Cat's Eyes in Gold Brocade, Silk Green and Sapphire Silk to create the corner details.
Hope you are all having a nice relaxing weekend.

What's On My Workdesk Wednesday
Good Afternoon,
Mid way through the week & since I haven't finished my baby blankets yet I thought I would join in with Julia and the other crafty bloggers in What's On My Workdesk Wednesday.
I haven't shared my little crafting area with you all yet, so here goes!
Since I am in the middle of sewing it doesn't look that untidy, just wait until I take a picture when I am making a card, oh my, it doesn't bare thinking about.
As soon as the baby blanket is finished I will share it with you, but I am blaming LoveFilm for my lack of progress, they sent through a new disc of episodes of 24 from series 7, so my evening kind of got taken over by Jack Bauer and crew!
Better get back to making the tea, hope you all have a nice evening!

More purple & snippets
Good Morning,
Is anybody else getting fed up with the dark, dull days? I made the fatal mistake of looking for holidays last night, so feeling even more depressed with this weather! Oh well, spring is round the corner.
Another quick make from me. After making my last snippet card I got quite into the swing of using up paper. I ended up using purple paper I had lying around so I am going to submit it to both Di at Pixies Crafty Workshop and Chrissie & Mandy at Less Is More.
I am going to my local fabric shop today to get material for baby blankets, but as ususal I will end up coming home with way more fabric that I need as I cannot resist some of the gorgeous stuff they have. Will hopefully get one of the blankets made tonight, so will post a picture of it tomorrow if it is ready.

Pixie's Crafty Snippets Challenge
Di over at Pixies Crafty Workshop has taken over from Jules for the weekly snippet challenge. As yet I have not taken part in this challenge but my snippet box is overflowing so its time to do something about it.
So here is my first make for the challenge.
There is no prizes or winners for this challenge, just a way to encourage us to use up all those bits and bobs of paper that we can't bring ourselves to throw out!

Less Is More Challenge - Week 49
Good Afternoon.
I hope you are having a nice weekend. The sun is shining here today, albeit cold, but it is so nice to see a bit of brightness.
As usual I like to join in with the challenge over at Less Is More. This week Chrissie & Mandi have picked 'Purple' as the theme.
Both the image and the sentiment on this card was from Papermania 'Birdsong' Stamp set.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

First Week Back
So how has everybody's first week back to normality gone? Thankfully for me it was a 3 day week at work, so it has broken me in nice and gently. However I am sure next week will be a killer!
I have a friends birthday coming up this month, so I decided to get cracking with a card for her. I can't list the supplies used for this card as apart from the Sizzix Embossing folder (Connect The Dots) everything else was bits and pieces I found in my stash. Although if my memory serves me right, the chipboard sentiment and hearts came as part of a free gift with a magazine.
I have entered this card into the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays - 'A Chip Off The Old Block'.
I hope you all have a nice weekend.

Clear Stamp Storage
Good Evening All
I decided that this year that I was finally going to get my clear stamps into some sort of organisation. Up until a few hours ago my clear stamps were stored like this!
Yes you are seeing right, that is a paper gift bag stuffed with stamps (can't quite believe I am admitting to this).
I did a few searches on the internet to see what other people do and the most popular seemed to be clear cd cases, however that idea just didn't seem like it would work for me, I would forget what I had and end up pulling out all the boxes and not putting away half of them. I wanted something where I could store them all in one place and easily see which stamps I had.
I found somebody who had used acetate, poly pockets and in a lever arch folder as storage, I liked this idea, so tonight I sat down to start filing away my stamps.
First off I stamped my images on plain white paper and wrote the name of the set on top of the page.
I laid the stamp over the stamped image and the laid on top a sheet of acetate and slid the whole thing into a poly pocket.
I have tried to keep the stamps within their sets and also within themes, so all my christmas, flowers, people etc are filed together.
I am hoping this system will work for me, I would love to know if anybody has a better system, or how I could improve on this one.
