Snowy Wreath

Good Evening,

I'm back with a card for a couple of challenges.  I was determined when I sat down tonight that I wasn't going to do a Christmas card, but guess what I ended up with!

Supplies Used:
Papertrey Ink - Snow Flurries
Sparkles from my stash

Challenges Entered:
Clean and Simple on Sunday

Festive Friday

On a seperate note, I have finally worked out why when I upload my photos to Blogger it has been 'darkening' them.  Turns out Google in their wisdom has changes the settings in Google + to 'auto enhance' photos. If you turn this off you photos should be as they are when you edit them.  If you are having the same problem and want to fix it then follow these steps

  • Log into Google +
  • Go into 'Home'
  • Then 'settings'
  • Scroll down 'Photos'
  • Change 'Auto Enhance' to Off

This is probably something that others already know about, but if it has been driving you mad like it has me hopefully this will resolve the problem.

Twine Wreath

Good Afternoon,

A bit later in the day for me to be joining in with Less Is More, however I was away to a cupcake decorating class this morning so didn't get home till later.

The challenge this week at Less Is More is to use 'String or Twine'.  I was going to make twine flowers but I noticed that Chrissie had showcased that so decided to do something different.

Supplies Used:
Nestabilities
Twine from my stash
Sparkles from my stash
Inkylicious Sentiment
Ribbon from my stash

I would also like to enter this card into the latest challenge over at Festive Friday where the challenge is 'Wreaths'.

And here is a picture of the cakes I decorated this morning, not bad for a first attempt I thought.

Muse Challenge #40

Good Evening,

I am getting right back into the swing of entering the weekly Muse challenge. I took a little bit of a break for a while, but for some reason my mojo for the challenge has returned.  I would also like to thank everybody for the votes for my card I entered in last week's Muse challenge, it was a great surprise to see I was a featured member.

This week they have a guest designer and it is the wonderful Darnell.  I am sure everybody in the card blogging world knows Darnell as she is so sweet and supportive to everybody.  So when I seen she was guest designer there was no way I was missing joining in.  In the end my card looks nothing like Darnell, however hopefully if you tilt your head sideways you will be able to see I used Darnell's card as a sketch as my inspiration.

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Jumbo wheel stamp
Glitter Paper and Bakers Twine from stash

And here is Darnell's beautiful card

Chevrons

Good Morning,

I have been looking at the Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World and been wanting to join in with the challenge.  However I couldn't think of anything that I wanted to make, until this morning when I remembered the Chevron die I have in my stash.  Rather than use all the colours in the picture I decided to focus on just one.

Supplies Used:
PTI - Chevron Cover Plate
Stampin Up - Express Yourself
Pink Petticoat - Ombre

And here is the Tuesday Trigger Photo.

CASology Week 66 - Pumpkin

Good Afternoon,

It's time for another one Challenge at CASology and this week's Cue Card which is 'Pumpkin'. Yes it is getting close to Halloween.  Here in the UK Halloween is not something that we celebrate in the same style as in the US or Canada and we certainly don't send Halloween cards.  So my Halloween theme stamps are in limited supply.  Thankfully I do have a pumpkin set, so I wasn't as difficult as it could have been.  Be warned my card is 'bright' this week!

Supplies Used:
Clearly Besotted - Boo To You
Woodware Stamps - Geometric
Avery Elle - Tag It

Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.

Whimsical Christmas

Good Afternoon,

The latest challenge over at Festive Friday is to create a Whimsical Theme Project.  Hmmmm I'm not sure I have much 'whimsical' themed stuff.  So I tried to use colours and a pom pom embellishment to create it instead.  Not sure I have nailed the challenge but thought I would share the end result anyway.  I am also entering this into Jingle Belles annual Pink Christmas challenge. Such a great cause.

Supplies Used:
Inkylicious - Sentiment
Papertrey Ink - Snowflake Flurries
Stampin Up - Glimmer Paper
Pom Pom Ribbon from my stash

I'm having a good clear up of my crafting space today, then playing with a new medium that I have been sent.  Hope you are all having a good crafting day.

Less Is More - Witches or Wizards

Good Morning,

This week's challenge at Less Is More is to make a one layer card featuring witches or wizards. Simple right? Wrong! This card has taken me so many attempts and it should have been a fairly straight foreward card, but with every attempt I would make a stupid mistake and ruin it.  Finally I finished a card error free.

Supplies Used:
Floppy Latte Designs - Flying Witch Digi Stamp
Computer Generated Sentiment
Ink Dusters

Chevrons and Sequins

Good Afternoon,

Well I have finally got a card to share, I can honestly say I have never had such a problem photographing a card before, but this is the best I can do I'm afraid.  I am quickly sneeking this card into the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays, where we are to use chevrons and sequins.

Supplies Used:
Pink Petticoat - DP
Vellum
Memory Box 'Happy' Die
Uniko Studio - Birthday Sentiment
Sequins from my stash

CASology - Week 65 Crisp

Good Afternoon,

It's time for another one Challenge at CASology and this week's Cue Card which is 'Crisp'.  My first thoughts when I read 'Crisp' was either a bag of crisps or bacon. Is it bad that I automatically thought of food? Anyway I knew I didn't have any stamps that I could use for my first thoughts so it was back to the drawing board.  Eventually the line 'deep and crisp and even' from the Christmas Carol 'Good Kind Wenceslas' sprang to mind.  So I ran with that idea and had some Carol Singers. I know its a tenuous link, but it is where the word took me!

Supplies Used:
Wplus 9 - Iconic Christmas
Ink Dusters

Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.

Muse Challenge #38

Good Evening,

Finally managed to find some time to make a card tonight and I hunted out something that was non Christmassy, as I don't want to overload you with them when we are only at the beginning of October.

The new challenge over at Muse was the basis of my inspiration.  My card it totally different from Therese's card, however I tried to envisage her card as a sketch and this is what I came up with.

Supplies Used:
Impression Obsession - Heart Stem Die
Clearly Besotted - Basic Banners Die
Stampin Up - Express Yourself (Sentiment)
Stampin Up - Glimmer Paper

Here is Therese's gorgeous card

Less Is More - White Christmas

Good Morning,

Finally found some time to sit down and come up with a card, really struggling for time right now and when I am that short of time I don't seem to have any creative thoughts!

My card today is for this weeks Less Is More challenge and Chrissie and Jen have asked us to make a white on white Christmas card.

Supplies Used:
Memory Box - Crystalline Border Die
Pink Petticoat - Sentiment
Sparkle from my stash

Can't wait to see what else everybody else comes up with as I love white on white cards, they are so elegant.

Festive Friday 18 - Star

Good Morning,

Now we are in October, I am making a real effort to make a start on my Christmas cards and thankfully there is plenty of Challenge blogs out there for inspiration.  My card today is my first entry for Festive Friday, where the challenge is to feature a star, my card has lots of little ones instead of one big star.

Supplies Used:
WPlus 9 - Iconic Christmas
Stampin Up - Dazzling Details (unfortunately that hasn't really shown up in the photo)

CASology - Week 64 Harvest

Good Afternoon,

Before I share this week's card, you might notice my blog has had a little makeover.  I was very lucky to win a blog header design from the amazing Jackie Rockwell.  So a big huge massive thank you to Jackie, I love it!

Now back to business with week's CASology Cue Card which is 'Harvest'.  Harvest to me reminds me of Sunday school and having to make up a box of food to send to a charity in the developing world.  I don't seem to have any stamps I could have used to represent this, so I ended up going with a very literal interpretation of the the word instead.

Supplies Used:
Just Inked - Digi Stamp
Watercolour Pen
Clearly Besotted - Sentiment

Now it's over to you guys, I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week, but before you get started have a quick visit round the rest of the Design Team for further inspiration.
