Here is the colour palette from Colour Q for this week.

Perfect Day

Good Morning,

Ardyth over at MASKerade has asked us to create a card based on Your Perfect Day for this weeks One Layer Wednesday Challenge.  Ardyth has come up with a fabulous card for this challenge.

Me and Hubby only got married last year and that was pretty perfect, so I have chosen that as my Perfect Day, although I do have a few others I could have chosen.

Supplies Used:
Papercraft Inspirations - Wedding Images
Stampin Up - Love & Laughter - Sentiment
Stampin Up - Dazzling Details - Silver Sparkle

Close up of sparkles, doesn't photograph too well though
Just out of curiosity, what do you all do with the cards you make?  I now have more than enough to keep me going for years, so just wondered what everybody else does with theirs.

Supplies Used:
Pink Gems - Digi Stamp
Sizzix Embossing Folder
Dimensional Stickers

As I said, a quick and simple card.  Might have another try at this challenge later in the week if something springs to mind!

Muse Week 2

Good Afternoon,

For this week's Muse challenge I wanted to pick just one aspect of the card as my inspiration and as soon as I seen this weeks wonderful Muse Card I knew I wanted to use the colours of the flowers and leaves.

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - French Foliage
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Inkduster
Stampin Up - Sentiment

This is the Muse card this week, by Suzanne Dalhberg. Isn't it fab!

I am really enjoying this new challenge blog, it is a refreshing change from normal challenge blogs. I also like voting from members of the challenge for that weeks favourite.  If you haven't joined in yet, I certainly recommend doing so.

Think that's it for today.

Something New

Good Morning.

Today's card is a bit of my comfort zone, for some reason I am not as easy using just neutrals in my cards. I always want to add a bit of colour somewhere.  However this weeks challenge at Dynamic Duos is to use neutrals, so I decided to challenge myself.

Supplies Used:
Inkadinkado - Fern Leaves
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Pumice Stone and Frayed Burlap
Stampin Up - Twine
Stampin up - Sentiment
Nestabilities

I am not sure of the end result, but I thought I would share it with you anyway and enter it into the Dynamic Duos challenge and also Pixie's Craft Snippets - Week 57

Off now to carry on watching the tennis.  Come on Andy!

More Birds

Good Morning,

Well we finally have some sun in the sky! It is so nice to see it after over a week of snowy weather.

Hubby was up early this morning to head into town, so since I was awake I thought it would rude not to join in with my weekly Less Is More challenge.  This week Jen has set a sketch challenge.  As soon I seen the sketch I knew exactly what stamp I wanted to use.  However it wasn't till I was finished my card I realised that my card last week also featured birds! But they are so cute I think I can get away with it.

Supplies Used:
Tiddly Inks - For the Birds DigiStamp (the paper the birds are holding come blank so you can add your own sentiment)
Derwent Colour Soft Pencils
Sentiment - Computer Genereated

Less Is More Sketch
Going to have a nice relaxing day today, hope you all have something planned for your weekend.

This Much

Good Morning,

Well we had one day with no snow and it's back on again! I hope this is the last of it for a while.

However I found out this morning that another one of my cards made a top 3.  This time it was in the Annabelle Stamps Challenge Blog and here is my card.  You should check out the winning card, it is beautiful!

This morning's card is for the Lets Craft and Create Challenge, this is the first time I have joined in with their challenges, but when I seen the task, it was right up my street.  The challenge was to create a Clean and Simple card with a Love theme.  So without further ado, here is my entry.

Supplies Used:
DigiStamp Boutique - DigiStamp (think it was a freebie last year)
ProMarkers
Stampin Up - Dazzling Details - Cherry Cobbler
Avery Elle - Lots of Love - Sentiment

On another note, its Burns Night here today, so traditionally we should be having Haggis, neeps and tatties for tea, washed down with a wee dram.  However I forgot all about it, so will aim to have our Burns Night tomorrow instead (I'm sure Rabbie wouldn't might).  Then next week we are off to a Burns Supper, if you have never been I highly recommend it, great fun and lots of dancing, which most people don't know how to do!

I am sure I will be back later on this evening, as so many new challenges start on a Friday and there is no way I am going out of the house in this weather.

First Card Do Over

Good Morning,

Ardyth over at MASKerade is celebrating her first blog anniversary and has set a slightly different challenge for us to join in on to celebrate.  She has asked us to re-do our first blog card.  I have cheated slightly and used my second blog card as I couldn't think what to do with my first one.  Here is my re done card.

And this was my orginal card. Looking at it now, I would never put my sentiment like that and what an ugly bow!

The supplies used for my new card are:
Craftwork Cards Stamp set and Candi
Stampin Up - Sentiment

I am sure I could have done a better job with this card, but since it was just for fun, I made the first thing that came to mind.  I hope you all have time to join in with Ardyth's challenge, it is interesting to see how much your style and tastes have changed over time.

Doodled Up

Good Evening,

I a certainly managing to get a lot of cards made during this cold snap.  Once I am in the house for the night I am not leaving again.

Tonights card is for this weeks One Layer Wednesday challenge, which is being hosted by the talented Karen at Snippets.  Confession time, I have had to CASE Karen's card, as the challenge is to doodle something on your card, and I do not normally let me free hand anywhere near my creations, so this is the best I could do.

Edit: Forgot to add, that my frame is the 'doodled' part, see I took the easy way out!

Supplies Used:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Ink Dusters
Papermania - Hampstead Stamps
Stampin Up - Sentiment

Off again to make another card! Hope you are all managing to find plenty of time to craft.

Mel Jen Designs - Cork Poppin' Mouse
Derwent Coloursoft Pencils
Silver and Gold Gel Pens

I added the additional stars on the trail of the cork, although I don't know what stamp set them came from.

Adore

Good Afternoon,

A quick share from me today for this weeks challenge at The Paper Players.  I won't bother listing my supplies today as the only element I can name is the stamp which comes from the Avery Elle 'Lots of Love' Stamp set.  I believe the heart backing paper came free from a magazine quite some time ago.

I am also entering this card into this weeks Pixies Crafty Snippets.

Thanks Everybody

Good Evening,

First of all I would like to thank everybody that came back with suggestions on how to improve my blog photos.  It never fails to amaze me how friendly and helpful our little blogging world is.  But I have to say a massive thank you to Viv of Daizy Mae Crafty Blog who kindly offered to alter my photo so I could see what difference software makes.  She even took it a step further and showed me how to do it in Word so I didn't have to buy any new software.  Thank you so much Viv, it was really appreciated.  The card below was altered in Word and what a big difference it has made.

Supplies Used:
Craftword Candi
Stampin Up - Itty Bitty Banners Sentiment & Die

Keep Warm

Good Evening,

Well winter has well and truly arrived in the North East of Scotland.  We have had a short break from the snow these past few days but there is more forecast for Friday! Oh well it is January, it shouldn't come as that much of a surprise.

I don't know if it is because of the snow, but when I seen this weeks challenge at One Layer Wednesday, which is being hosted by the talented Heather Telford this week, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas Card.  And that is the first one ticked off the list for this year!

Supplies Used:
Mel Jen Designs Digi Stamp
Sentiment - Computer Generated
ProMarkers
Glossy Accents

I hope the weather isn't causing you too much problems where you are, either too much snow, or the extreme heat that our Australian buddy's are suffering from.

Thanks Craftwork Cards

Good Afternoon,

I was very lucky to win some Craftwork Candi in a recent competition.  And with all my goodies I have made a thank you card for them.

Supplies Used:
Craftwork Cards - Build A Bloom Stamps
Stampin up - Sentiment
Craftwork Cards - Candi

Challenges Entered:
Dynamic Duos

I apologise for the poor picture quality, you have no idea how much I am struggling to take good photos right now.  If any body has some good advice I would really appreciate it.  My main problem is that when I download my pictures onto the computer they are really dark, they look fine on the screen of the camera, but not on my computer.  Trying to save money right now so buying a new camera is out of the question.

Blue

Good Afternoon,

It's been a number of weeks since I was able to join in with the weekly challenge over at CASology, but this week I made sure I was going to be able to enter something.  The Cue Card that has been chosen this week is 'Blue'.  I just hope my card features enough blue.

Supplies Used:
Stampin Up - Punch
Stampin Up 'A Word For You' - Sentiment
Pearls from me stash
Dimensional Stickers

Now I have photographed it and posted on my blog I can't help but wonder if I should have rounded the opposite corners.  Oh well might try it on another card.

Take It Easy

Good Evening All,

Well none of the forecast snow has arrived yet, will see what tomorrow morning brings.

I got a chance this evening to make a card for this weeks Less Is More Challenge which is 'Sport or Exercise'.  I am hoping that Fishing is classed as a sport as I don't have any 'sporty' stamps. Oh and to make it that little bit more difficult, it is a One Layer Week! Anyway enough excuses here is the end result!

Supplies Used:
Just Inked - Man At Work Digi Stamp
ProMarkers
Glossy Accents
Sentiment - Computer generated.

Right off now to have a look at everybody else's creations and watch a bit of telly.

Have a nice evening

Birthday Balloons

Good Afternoon,

What a dull miserable day it is here today and the snow is on its way according to the weather forecasters.  I think we have been lulled into a false sense of security with the mild weather we have been getting lately.

Today I am joining in with a new challenge.  Annabelle Stamps run a fortnightly challenge and if you don't have any of their stamps they kindly provide some freebies (you can find them here). For my card I have used their January Freebie.

Supplies Used:
Annabelle Stamps - Digi Stamp
ProMarkers
Stampin Up Sentiment - Itty Bitty Banners
Stampin Up - Bakers Twine - Whisper White

Hope you are getting better weather wherever you are.

Sorry I've been missing, but I'm back now

First off let me wish everybody a Happy New Year and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

Apologises for my absence over the Festive Season, life got in the way and there was no time for crafting! We had a very busy Christmas with visitors staying and then headed off to Edinburgh to celebrate Hogmanay.  Although I got no crafting time I had a wonderful time and its now back to normality!

The first challenge I thought I would join in with is Less Is More, and this weeks challenge is 'Black, White and a hint of colour'.  So here is my entry.

Supplies Used:
Paper Smooches - Debonair
Stampin Up - Itty Bitty Banners
Craftwork Candi
Ribbon from my Stash

I am now off to have a look and see what everybody has been up to over the last couple of weeks.
