Mother of Pearl Poppy

Good Afternoon,

Well after a glorious weekend of weather the sky if back to looking a dull grey colour.  Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

I am on a day off today, so spending it sitting at my craft desk.  Todays make is a last minute addition to the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

Supplies Used:
Penny Black - Poppy Poem
Pink Petticoat backing paper
ProMarkers
Frost White Shimmer paint to create the mother of pearl effect
Ribbon from my stash.

Here is the sketch that I followed; although my addition of the ribbon might not fit in with the sketch.

Thanks for visiting

  2. Personally I like your decision to use ribbon. It fits well on the card and lets the poppy stand out.

  9. Hello Gillian,

it's been a week, I have not looked at your blog ... :-( and you were extremely creative!
This card with the poppy is simply beautiful and the colors are so well associated!

Time is a little better and I had to do hard in my garden!
Now I see the end and I hope to have a little more time for the blogosphere! :-)

    Hugs Daen'Ys
