Good Afternoon,
As I mentioned last week, it was my Hen Night on Saturday. Me and the other hens went cocktail making and it was an 80's theme. I think everybody had a good time, I know I had a fab time. A big thanks to my Sister Gayle and my friend Suz for organising such a good night!
Now that I am all recovered, I am able to get back on with a bit of crafting. I bit of a later submission than normal for me into this weeks 'Less Is More' challenge. This week Chrissie & Mandi have provided us with a sketch to follow.
This was my second attempt at this card, here is the first.
Once I had made up the card, I just felt that the coloured squares were too big for this weeks challenge, but I still like the card so thought I would share it with you anyway.
Here is the sketch that we were to follow, my sentiment is off centre but hopefully that will not disqualify me.
I have also decided to enter my card into this weeks challenge at CAS-ual Fridays, the theme this week is to feature flowers or trees.
Now that I have completed my card for this weeks challenge, I have three subway art canvases to make, so better get cracking.
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
Thanks for visiting
x
Both are lovely Gillian, but I think card no.1 just has the edge for me, Jo x
ReplyDeleteYou were quite right to modify your design... the first certainly has more interest and impact... it was good to see both versions however.
ReplyDeleteSuper job Gillian... I'm glad your hen night went well.
Thanks so much
Chrissie

ReplyDeleteI too love them both buthe first is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI like the card with the smaller squares, I like the way the image runs over the squares.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely right in your gut feeling - much more stunning being smaller. Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian, I must admit I like your first better with the flower peeping over the edges. Glad your hen party went well. No photos........... x
