Cloudy Sky

Good Morning,

Another week of neglecting blogland.  I swear once I am a married woman I will be back to keeping on top of my blog. I am actually missing making cards, but time is not allowing me to do that at the moment.

But since I have never missed a challenge at Less Is More since I started my blog, I am creating time to make a entry every week.

This weeks challenge is a one layer card and to use a flourish, unfortunately my card didn't come out quite as  I had planned but I thought I would share it anyway and I will go back to the drawing board.

Supplies Used:
Mind Minds Eye - Lost & Found stamp
Versamark
Clear embossing powder
Distress Ink
Ink Dusters

I thought the stamp looked liked clouds, so I was aiming for a pretty cloudy sky, but its ended up looking like a stormy sky, no sure who you would give a card with a stormy sky too, probably somebody you didn't like!

Anyway away back to the drawing board

Thanks for visiting
x

  2. I hope your hubby-to-be won't be too disappointed to read that it's your blog that you'll be on top of once you are married. (lol) At least he can't say you didnt give him fair warning that you are a stamp addict lol

Beautifully done...very summer blue sky and a clever use of a flourish. Great 'out of the box' thinking.

  3. What wonderful dedication to our challenge Gillian... it's quite a record. Thank you so much, I know how busy you must be in the run up to your nuptials.
This is lovely, even if not exactly as you envisioned!
    Thanks so much

  6. This does look like clouds Gillian I agree, I think it would make a fabulous backdrop for a branch or plant over stamped in black
However, its super as it is of course!

Thank you so much for not missing a challenge with us

  8. I love this Gillian and I don't think it looks stormy - just beautifully arty! Those flourishes really do look like clouds. It would be great for a get well or sympathy card perhaps? I know just what you mean about missing making cards - I swear I get withdrawal symptoms when I haven't made a card for a while! Vicky x

  9. I think it's lovely Gillian. You could send it to some one who needs a bit of encouragement and say something like dark skies are going to clear up.

  11. Hi Gillian, great job on how you used the flourish. Of course I had to laugh at your comment about who you would give a card with a stormy sky to, hmm ... I'm thinking there may be a candidate or two around. Thanks for the chuckle!

  25. I like your shading. These flourishes remind me of holidays in Poland, which will begin in two weeks. Regards
