Christmas Card

Good Evening,

My lovely friend Kath asked me this week to make a Christmas Card for her Mother in Law. The only things she asked was that is said 'Merry Christmas Grandma' on it and that she liked flowers.

Hmmm a christmas card with flowers on it. Not something I would usually make, but can't let that defeat me, so away I went looking for inspiration.

Thankfully I found the perfect thing over at Pink Petticoat, part of the Christmas Papers on offer to is 'Pointy Poinsettias'.  I decided to do the card in blue, silver and white, as I think the flowers are still quite traditional but the colours make the card look at bit more modern.

I tied the ribbon to try and look like a Christmas Present and attached the sentiment to look like the gift tag.  The sentiment was also from Pink Petticoat and came with the 'Lots of Big Dots' background papers that I purchased.  To add on the 'Grandma', I printed out the sentiment on standard copier paper and typed Grandma into word and played about with the positioning of it until I got to print where I wanted.  I then printed the sentiment and 'Grandma' onto the paper I wanted to use and cut it into a tag shape.

My snowflakes were part of my stash, but thought it made the card look a bit more Christmassy.  I coloured in some white sparkles with my promarkers to adhere to the snowflakes.

Hopefully both my friend and her mother in law like the card.

I have also decided to enter this card into the challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon, the current challenge is 'Clean and Simple Christmas and Ribbon', so hopefully this ticks all the boxes.

Really have to crack on with my own Christmas cards, it seems to be a never ending task and there is always something more important that needs done!
